Master sculptor Arthur Möller first modeled this figurine in 1939. In 1980 master sculptor Gerhard Skrobek added rounded corners to the base.
This StarGazer boy has a rose-purple shirt and Lederhosen with braces crossed over his back.
Condition is Like-New; New-In-Box, the Stargazer comes with his Original Love Lives On Collection Goebel Hummel Box, including Original paperwork as shipped from Goebel Fabrique. No issues are apparent with the Hummel. Approximate age 44 years.

TMK-1 has a darker blue shirt.
TMK-2 to TMK-7 have a lighter blue or purple shirt.
The telescope has been modified with color changes from rust to brown and black dependingon the release purpose.
There have been dedicated StarGazers versions or limited releases for Anniversaries and Special Operations in NASA aeronautics programs. A special edition was released in 1996 for sale to the U.S. military troops stationed in Bosnia. The inscription read “Looking for a Peaceful World” and is worth $500-$800.
Additionally Goebel Hummel released a 60th Anniversary edition of StarGazer before ending production in (TW) 1996 end of production 2002.
The Star Gazer has lederhosen with cross straps; if you find one without crossed stapes, you have found a special rare Hummel.
StarGazer was “Temporarily Withdrawn” (TW) on June 15, 2002.
